Given my lack of time, chances are it never will be, either. There are no proponents of the theory that I know of, but if there are, you could always write one and get a version far less biased than I could ever write.

Otherwise, you may be interested in this article, sent by Mr Philip Tobias (a pretty well-respected anthropologist) to the Sci.anthropology.paleo newsgroup. It gives a couple of places you could look to get more info, but basically slams the theory.

Interestingly (from my point of view), he does not state at any point that it was a strawman argument invented by the proponents of the Aquatic Ape Theory, as has been stated on sci.anthropology.paleo. He treats it as a well-known and previously respected theory which has subsequently been sucessfully shown to be incorrect.
